Total number of OFWs affected by coronavirus now climbs to 86

The total number of OFWs affected by the deadly coronavirus has now climbed to 86.

According to an Inquirer.Net report, these Filipinos have tested coronavirus disease as of Monday, citing the Department of Health in the Philippines.

In Japan, 80 OFWs are afflicted by the disease, 48 are still in hospitals, while 32 have been discharged after recovering from the disease.

Meanwhile, there are two cases of Filipinos afflicted with the virus in Hong Kong, United Arab Emirates and Singapore.

“The Philippine Government has repatriated 10 overseas Filipinos from the M/V Diamond Princess cruise ship who were intially tested positive for COVID-19 and were later discharged after their recovery,” Health Secretary Francisco Duque III was quoted as saying by Inquirer.Net.
