For the very first time in the history of Dubai, Filipinos are celebrating Philippine Independence Day twice in June this year.
Both celebrations aimed at gathering Filipinos in one roof.
‘Kalayaan 2020’ will be celebrated at June 5 at the Rashid Hall, Dubai World Trade Centre at 9 am onwards, meanwhile, the ‘122nd Independence Day’ will be celebrated on June 12 at the Zabeel 3, Dubai World Trade Centre.
‘Kalayaan 2020’ is being organized by community leaders Jason Roi Bucton, Lance Japor, Conrado Quizon and backed by Red and Beryl Events Management which is owned by former PID appointed president Josie Conlu. Their event will pay tribute to the heroic patriotism that binds Filipino expats in the UAE.
Taunted as the grandest Philippine Independence Day celebration in Dubai, ‘122nd Philippine Independence Day’ is being organized by the Filipino Social Club, a CDA-regulated non-profit group that envisions to the organization of all overseas Filipino workers.
