Hope flickers as over 50,000 people have recovered from coronavirus globally

At least 50,000 people infected with the coronavirus have already been fully recovered, Johns Hopkins Centre for System Science recorded.

According to the data released, there are exactly 53,638 people who have recovered from the COVID-19.

According to an NBC report, the centre has recorded a total of 96,988 cases around the globe.

Xihua News has also reported 52,045 patients to recover from the deadly virus.

The latest to be discharged were 2,189 patients from a hospital in mainland China.

A total of 88 people have also recovered in South Korea, while in UAE 7 people have already been reported to recover from the disease.

According to the World Health Organization, 80 percent of COVID-19 cases are mild.
