As the Ministry of Public Health in Qatar implemented various precautionary measures to limit the spread of COVID-19, priests of Our Lady of the Rosary Parish decided to close the church for a period of two weeks starting March 12 until March 26.
Worshipers are advised to do the following instead:
-Participate in the Holy Mass through Catholic TV channels or videos on YouTube
-Read together as a family, the Scripture readings of the day
-Pray the way of the cross at home
-Recite the Holy Rosary together as a family
-Do other spiritual activities
“We urge everyone to remain calm amidst these trying times and continue to pray for everyone’s safety. Let us continuously pray for God’s mercy and compassion through the intercession of Our Lady of the Rosary,” the statement read.
