Philippine embassy in UAE: Postpone all non-essential travel, including travel to Philippines

In light of the Philippine government’s announcement on the lockdown in Metro Manila and suspension on domestic flight via air and land, the Philippine Embassy in the UAE has reiterated its call for all OFWs in the region to forego or postpone all non-essential travels, including travel to the Philippines.

Public Advisory No. 04-2020 : For Filipinos in UAE on the declaration of a Code Red Sublevel 2 or a Community Quarantine in Metro Manila

“Should your travel be urgent, please keep in mind that there is a community quarantine that covers Metro Manila. Kindly check with your airlines for the latest travel arrangements, including possible diversions of your flights to Clark International Airport outside Metro Manila, Mactan-Cebu International Airport in Cebu City, and Francisco Bangoy International Airport in Davao City.

The embassy also reminded the Filipinos who are returning to the UAE should undertake necessary precaution by always checking with airline as well as monitoring official statements from UAE authorities on latest advisories.
