UAE’s suspension on the issuance of all entry visas starts today

Starting today, UAE is suspending the issuance of entry visas to all foreigners, except for diplomatic passport holders and those eligible for visa on arrival.

“Please be informed that all types of entry visa issuance has been temporarily suspended until further notice, except diplomatic passport holders and visa-on-arrival,” the recorded message on the General Directorate of Residency and Foreingers Affairs’ landline number say.

The decision to temporarily suspend is part of the government’s way to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

According to a travel agency, those on visit visa can still change visa but only inside country it’s ‘quite expensive.’
