As the Philippine government tries to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus through imposing lockdown in the entire Luzon, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) office informs all OFWs in the delays in the availability of passports.
“Due to disruptions in the services of its logistic partners following the declaration of an enhanced community quarantine in the whole Luzon effective 17 March 2020, there will be delays in the delivery and availability of passports in Philippines Embassies and Consulates General until normal operations resume once the quarantine period ends,” the statement read.
Those who have further questions need to contact the Embassy or Consulate where they filled their passport applications.
