Sharjah ruler gives residents 10% discount on electricity bills for four months

Sharjah ruler Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi announced that he will be granting a 10% discount on electricity bills for four months.

In an interview at a radio show, the leader said this is just one of the many things that will be announced by the Emirati government to reduce the financial burden on residents while the country curb the spread of coronavirus.

Sharjah government allocates AED 230 million for this initiative.

Sheikh Sultan has also asked residents and citizens of the emirate to stay home as much as possible.
