As the Philippine government exerts efforts to curb the spread of coronavirus in the country, President Duterte called on every Filipino to participate in the ‘war’ by following the guidelines set by the authorities.

“I now call on every Filipino to participate in this war by following the guidelines. Nothing is more important than your cooperation,” Duterte said.

“I repeat: Stay home, wag matigas ang ulo. The outcome of this war depends largely on you as well,” he added.

Due to the rising number of cases and death toll, Luzon is still under enhanced community quarantine.

The Department of Health announced that there were already 552 confirmed cases in the Philippines, 35 of whom have already died and 20 have fully recovered.
