No guidelines yet on how to avail the Php10,000 financial assistance for OFWs

-

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) has recently announced that cash assistance amounting to Php 10,000 will be given to some 70,000 displaced OFWs due to pandemic coronavirus.

As TGFM published a press release yesterday, the page has received floods of inquiries on how to avail the cash assistance and if they are qualified, the requirements needed and where to send it.

In a Facebook live by the Philippine Consul General Paul Raymund Cortes, he explained that his office, up until now, hasn’t received any guidelines from the DOLE.

“Maraming katanungan about sa financial assistance. Wala pa pong guidelines, abangan na lang po natin and we make sure na kung meron nang word from Manila, ipapahayag natin sa mga mamamayan natin dito,” he said.

He also urged the public, especially the Filipino expats in Dubai and the Northern Emirates to stay home while the national sanitation in the country takes place.

“Sundin ang mga batas at alituntunin ng UAE. Mag-imbak at huwag muna lumabas. We are still permitted to buy essential things pero hanggat maaari, stay home na muna,” he added.
