UAE has launched the biggest Covid-19 testing lab outside of China with a capacity to process tens of thousands of samples per day.
The mammoth laboratory is located in Masdar City, Abu Dhabi and introduced by G42 and BGI.
According to a Khaleej Times report, the laboratory has only been built in the span of 14 days.
The new laboratory is expected to help accelerate diagnostic procedures, identification of suspected cases, release of recovered patients and screening of high-risk groups.
Aside from prioritizing tests locally, the lab is also open to receive samples from neighbouring countries.
