Dubai announces 24-hour sterilization program; mass testing in the emirate

UAE announced that it’s extending its sterilization program to 24 hours for a period of two weeks in a bid to stop the spread of the new coronavirus.

The 24-hour extension will start from 8pm on Saturday, with strict measures taken to restrict local movement, Khaleej Times reported.

Violators will face consequence.

Meanwhile, food outlets, such as societies and supermarkets, as well as pharmacies and food and drug delivery order will continue to operate.

Mass testing will also be conducted by medical practitioners in areas where there are large numbers of people.

The public is advised to stay in their respective homes throughout the period.
