OWWA-Abu Dhabi announces steps how to claim Php10,000 cash and food assistance

-

The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration announced the steps on how Filipinos in Abu Dhabi can avail of the Php10,000 assistance from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).

Through the Facebook community page Bayanihan Council-Abu Dhabi, it announced that the DOLE-AKAP financial assistance is only for Filipinos who lost their jobs due to the coronavirus.

Meanwhile, those who haven’t gotten their salaries yet or on ‘no work, no pay’ policy will be receiving food assistance from DOLE.

Those who were terminated need to fill-out the form in this link: https://poloabudhabi.weebly.com

Frequently Asked Questions:

Question: Paano po kami, wala na po kaming sweldo. Hindi po kami pinapapasok, no work, no pay po.

Answer: OWWA food assistance lamang ang puwedeng matanggap.

Question: Hindi po ako active sa OWWA. Pwede po ba ako maka-avail nito?

Answer: Kahit in-active member ka, pero at least once in your life naging OWWA member ka, pasok ka.

Question: Hindi po ako member ng OWWA, pwede po kaya?

Answer: Hindi po kayao covered ng any assistance ng DOLE at POLO-OWWA dahil ang ibig pong sabihin lumabas po kayo ng bansa as visit visa at nung nagkatrabaho na kayo hindi po kayo nag register sa OWWA (with your contract). Pero kung tumawid lang kayo ng bansa (kunwari galing Saudi) ang naging OWWA member ka doon, pwede ka pa rin.

Question: Pwede po ba ang text or WhatsApp as evidence na nawalan ako ng work or no work no pay?

Answer: Kung maari, humingi kayo ng letter or certification na clearly naka mention ang inyong pangalan na kayo at tinanggal or pinag-leave ng walang bayad. Awaye po ang mga kumpanya na eto ay legal dahil sa kasalukuyang sitwasyon, dahil dito huwag kaying mahiyang humingi.
