A total of 588 patients have already been recovered in the country. On April 11, the country announced the recovery of 170 patients, the highest number of recoveries to date in UAE.
“Majority of the Covid-19 cases recorded across the country are simple and mild cases. All those with high fever and respiratory distress should go directly to the test centres,” Dr. Farida Al Hosani, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Health and Prevention said in a Khaleej Times report.
She also added that health experts are still continuing to review the latest drug treatments available to support patients fight the virus.
Al Hosani revealed that UAE is using hydroxychloroquine medicines and other anti-viral drugs to cure the patients in the country.
“The blood donated by people who have recovered from Covid-19 was being used in plasma treatment to boost the speed of recovery for people who tested positive to the coronavirus,” Al Hosani added.
