As the country witnesses a surge in Covid-19 recoveries, many individuals are admiring the health sector in the UAE in its fight against the spread of the virus.

As of April 13, UAE registers 172 more recoveries, taking the total number of recoveries to 852.

With the mass testing being done in the country, Dr. Farida Al Hosani, the official spokesperson of the UAE’s health sector, said that majority of the Covid-19 cases recorded across the country are simple and mild cases.

“All those with high fever and respiratory distress should go directly to the test centres,” she added.

The official also mentioned that the country has already started clinical trials of plasma therapy for treatment along with a number of other treatments.

“The blood donated by people who have recovered from Covid-19 was being used in plasma treatment to boost the speed of recovery for people who tested positive to the coronavirus,” Dr. Farida said.
