A top official in the government of Dubai has confirmed that about 75 percent of the emirate has already been disinfected as of April 19.
Major General Rashod Thani Al Matroushi, director of Dubai Civil Defence, said in a Gulf News report that they are conducted 24-hour sterilization drive across most part of the city, particularly the most densely populated areas.
Al Matroushi said that 75 percent of the city had been sterilized along with 409 field visits to labor camps in the emirate.
“Our teams sterilized labor camps and spread awareness by teaching workers the hygiene skills to protect themselves from Covid-19. We educate workers by placing stickets in their accommodation on how to protect themselves from the virus,” he added.
