UAE warns public against beggars who take advantage of Covid-19 situation and Ramadan

-

Abu Dhabi Police warned the public not to deal with beggars who take advantage of the current conditions and create unreal stories to ask for money.

In a Facebook status, it explained that the beggars are learning the sympathy of the members of the community by creating misleading stories, taking advantage of the preventive actions taken by government authorities and entering the holy month of Ramadan. It added that the country has established official channels of charity to help people in need.

The Abu Dhabi Police called for the need for members of the community to collaborate with them to report this kind of situation.
