1,000 Muslim families in the Philippines received grocery packs from UAE Embassy

Over 1,000 Muslim families in Manila have received grocery items and essentials from the UAE Embassy in the Philippines.

The embassy’s initiative is part of the country’s ongoing mission t help the community during the Holy Month of Ramadan.

The distribution was also made in partnership with the Zayed Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation.

“For the support, we will deliver it to the houses of our Muslim brothers and sisters and we want to thank the support both of the UAE and Philippine government,” Hamad Saeed Hamad Obaid Alzaabi, the UAE Ambassador to the Philippines, said in a statement.

He encouraged the Muslim communities to follow the rules set by the national government to curtail the spread of the new coronavirus during the entire month of Ramadan.

Essentials such as sugar, rice, coffee, milk, canned goods are included in the boxes.
