A group of overseas Filipino workers has launched an online petition against the new policy set by PhilHealth.

The new policy includes requiring every Filipino overseas workers to pay 3% of their monthly salaries on the PhilHealth’s premium plan.
According to PhilHealth, any member who fails to pay the premium after the due date shall be required to pay all missed contributions with monthly compounded interest.
In the rule, OFWs must pay their missed PhilHealth dues before securing the overseas employment certificate (OEC).
