UAE shuts down three pharmacies for unreasonably hiking the price of hand sanitizers

Days after Dibba Al Fujairah Fujairah siezed 700 fake masks, they have ordered the closure of three pharmacies for selling hand sanitizers on incredibly high price.

Eng Hassan Salem Al Yamahi, Director of the Dibba Al Fujairah Municipality, was quoted as saying by Khaleej Times that the pharmacies have violated the rules in relation with Covid-19 precautionary measures.

“The erring pharmacies were spotted during the inspection raids carried out in all parts of the city. The erring institutions shall be penalized with zero tolerance. More inspection campaigns will be launched round the clock to ensure adherence to set rules and preventibve measures,” he added.

Residents are urged to report any violation in the municipality’s number 09244399. Complaints can also be reported to call centre on the toll-free number 80036 ror via the municipality’s app ‘smartFUJAIRAH.
