CONFIRMED: No entry ban on visa violators leaving UAE after May 18

-

Expats in the UAE whose visa fines will be waived after May 18 will not be banned if they choose to return to the country.

His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan announced on Wednesday a full waiver on all visa fines for all violators in the country whose visas have expired before March 1.

It has also been confirmed that violators will not have travel ban if they choose to leave the country after May 18.

“The decision will not prevent the beneficiary from returning to the country when he or she fulfills the conditions for entry in accordance with the provisions of law. There is no entry ban procedure for the beneficiary,” Brig Khamis Al Kaaibi, spokesperson of the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, said in a statement.
