FAKE: Hoax message promises to give AED4,000 if you work in UAE from 1990

-

A message claiming that if expats work from 1990 to 2020 they’ll get AED 4,000. The message said it was from the the Ministry of Labor.

As it turns out, this suspicious message is fake as the ministry itself didn’t announce such reward.

The viral message has a link asking users to click on it to check if their names are on the list. The link, labour.rebajaslive.com, requires users to make three steps: share to 20 friends or groups, click ‘continue’, and wait for 15 minutes for the arrival of confirmation.

The website is found to be fraudulent or infected with malware or it conducts phishing.
