UAE now allows return of OFWs stuck and stranded outside the country

- Advertisment -

Those who have been stranded outside the country will now be allowed to go back to UAE as of June 1.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MoFAIC) and the Federal Authority and Citizenship (ICA) on Monday said the latest decision is part of the country’s keenness to enable those holding valid residence visas to be reunited with their families.

Those outside the country and wished to go back to UAE need to register for ‘Residents’ Entry Permit’ via smartservices.ica.gov.ae.

The UAE is keen to facilitate the procedures for holders of valid UAE residency outside the country to reunite with their families who were affected by the precautionary measures taken by the country in light of the currrent exceptional circumstances to combat Covid-19,” the ministry said in a statement.
