Dubai orders closure of Amer Centre in Al Rigga for not following Covid-19 measures

The Amer Centre in Riggat Al Buteen was shutdown by the Commercial Compliance and Consumer Protection (CCCP) sector in Dubai Economy in cooperation with the General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs (GDRFA) for not following the precautionary measures laid out to combat the spread of the novel coronavirus.

The centre’s violations include exceeding in 30 percent staff limit permitted, non-installation of thermal scanners for customers, not following the social distancing rule and failing to place physical distancing stickers.

Dubai Economy urged all service centres in the emirate to follow the government’s precautionary guidelines, such as wearing of face masks, ensuring physical distancing, and displaying stickers to raise awareness, among others.
