Dubai resident tests positive for Covid-19 with loss of smell and taste indications only

A Dubai-based pharmacist has recently tested positive for Covid-19 with an indication of loss of smell and taste only.

In a his Reddit post, user u/banana092 recalls having lost of sense of taste and smell and occasional headaches.

“No fever, no cough, no throat pain, nothing,” he added.

High fever, cough and having throat pain are among the symptoms of the novel coronavirus as experienced by majority of patients who have tested positive for the virus.

“My big take on this guy is that symptoms are different from one person to another. But you should pay attention to the smallest changes in your body, for me it was food and fragrances,” he added.

In the comment section, he also mentioned having a ‘very’ little back pain.

Currently admitted, he further added that he strongly believes that his symptoms are mild ‘so far’ because he has been taking 1000mg of Vitamin C effervescent tablet twice a day for the last two months and he thinks it played role.
