The Abu Dhabi emirate announced that it is planning to expand the free medical and Covid-19 testing for its residents and include those living in densely populated areas.
According to the Abu Dhabi Media Office, the initiative is part of the ‘intensified testing strategy’ to reduce the spread of the new coronavirus.
The National Screening Project was initially launched to test 335,000 residents and employees in the Musuffah area in Abu Dhabi.
It was launched in April 30 in partnership with the Department of Health, the Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre, Abu Dhabi Police, Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development, Department of Municipalities and Transport, and Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship.
