Over 40,000 returning OFWs test negative for Covid-19, PCG confirms

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) announced that there are over 40,000 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) who have tested negative in the RT-PCR testing for Covid-19.

The total Filipinos who have tested for Covid-19 is 43,330 as of Monday, June 1.

“PCG has updated the masterlist of overseas Filipinos to include OFWs, Filipino seafarers, and returning Filipinos who yielded negative result in the RT-PCR test conducted by the Sub-Task Group for the repatriation of OFWs,” the statement said.

The updated master list has an increase of 1,860 names from the 41,470 names listed on May 30.
