UAE to reopen airports; limited flights will only be allowed for now

-

The government of UAE announced the reopening of all airports in the country, however, limited flights will only be allowed.

In the ‘limited flights’, only transit and repatriation of expats or return of residents or citizens are included.

“The decision to suspend passenger flights to and from the country is still in effect, and only limited flights will be temporarily permitted for the purpose of evacuating residents and visitors who wish to leave the UAE and return to their country,” Dr. Saif Aldhaher, spokesman for National Authority for Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management, was quoted as saying by Gulf News.

For now, only four airlines are allowed to undertake the said flights, including Emirates, Etihad, fly dubai and Air Arabia.

Flight details are expected to be announced today.
