An engineer based in the UAE has tested positive for the novel coronavirus without showing symptoms at all.
An unnamed ‘Asian’ man was recently interviewed by Gulf News and shared how did it happen.
“I only got tested, through a nasal swab, because a colleague tested positive. But I feel nothing, no coughs, no fever,” the engineers, who has been being isolated in a hotel for two weeks now, said.
He added that three of his workmates have tested positive for the virus, two of whom showed no symptoms.
According to the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP), there are at least five types of Covid-19 infections: asymptomatic, mild, moderate, severe, and critical.
On May 9, the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) released a new guidelines wherein asymptomatic patients can self-isolate at home.
