Returning Filipino tourists, students and residents to shoulder Covid-19 test, facilities

-

An official from the Philippine government has clarified once again that not all returning Filipinos will get to avail the free Covid-19 tests in the airport and quarantine facilities.

Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana clarified that those returning Filipinos on tourist visas, students and permanent residents of the Philippines will be processed separately from returning overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).

“Yung hindi po OFWs, sa kanilang gastos po iyong [Covid-19 test and 14-day quarantine period nila],” Lorenzana was quoted as saying by GMA News Online.

Meanwhile, the government will pay for OFWs’ Covid-19 tests and quarantine facilities.
