11 aspiring Filipino singers in UAE vying for top Quaran-sing award

A total of 11 aspiring Filipino singers are vying for the most coveted Himig FI-Noy: Quaran-sing top award in the Middle East on Friday, June 12, during the virtual 122nd Philippine Independence Day celebration of the Filipino Institute.

The ‘Quaran-sing’ edition features 10 Filipinos in the UAE and one in the Philippines.

Their performances have now been uploaded on the Filipino Institute’s Facebook page.

A panel of judges will be criticizing the official entries. Only three from the entries will get a chance to sing during the Facebook live on the Filipino Institute.

The virtual celebration will be composed of two parts: first will be the proper program which starts from 9pm until 12nn; and second is the ‘Quaransing’ and ‘Larong Pambahay’ wherein the hosts will give away ample prizes for the viewers. The second part starts at 2pm.

Cash prize will be given to the winner, as well as goodies from sponsors.
