A Filipina jobless mother based in Dubai continues to distribute 200 meals everyday to displaced overseas Filipino workers in Deira area.

Feby Cachero Baguisa dela Pena, 34, has been jobless since 2017. She used to work as an office coordinator and hygiene manager at a gelato company.

She started to distribute hot pack meals during the recent Eid Al Fitr.

Filipino food pa ang makakain nila,” de la Pena was quoted as saying by dailybread.news.com.

In recent weeks, she gets up at 8am to cook meals good for 200 people. She’d be done at around 2:30pm and is usually at her spot along Muraqqabat just outside her place by 3pm. By 4:30pm, she and her team will be done giving away the meals.

Usually, she cooks 30 kilos of chicken, 150 boiled eggs or friend and 25 kilos or rice mostly donated by fellow Filipinos who have heard about her initiative.

Laban lang po tayo,” she wrote in a Facebook post.
