Netizen warns BDO users against using the service after losing Php47,000 savings

A netizen has recently shared how her Php47,000 savings under BDO although she never used it. 

“Guys sa lahat ng mga bank account diyan lalo na BDO passbook at ATM accounts, ingat kayong lahat. I never thought that this sh*t will happen to me. Php47,000 ang nanakaw sa BDO passbook account ko,” Fabe Macaraeg posted on her Facebook account. 

She added that the whole amount was cashed out through ‘fund transfer transaction’. 

Macaraeg said that the amount that they’re saving is for the future of their baby. 

She asked BDO’s customer service representative to trace the person who cashed out the money and the receiver was named ‘Ruel Mendez’ with bank account number 916100778082. 

After being not able to trace the bank account number, she asked the netizen to help her track Ruel Mendez. 

“Hindi ko alam paanong nangyari to kasi never akong magpa-fund transfer dahil savings lang ng anak namin to. Napgpunta din ako sa branch kung saan ko in-open yung account ko,” she added, noting that the branch asked her to file a dispute. 

The investigation, according to Macaraeg, takes two to three months. 

“Daming case nito ng BDO, hindi nila matapos ang issue sa kanila. Nagtiwala lang ako sa BDO pero ano nangyari?”

“Kaya kayong lahat mag-ingat kayo kahit naka passbook pa yan at wala kang gawing transaction mananakaw at mananakawan ka!” she added. 

Ruel Mendez left Macaraeg with Php12.93 on her bank account.
