Are you outside the UAE right now with a valid residence visa? Here are the things you need to consider before you go back here.
Dubai authorities have recently announced that all foreign nationals holding valid residence visas issued in Dubai will be allowed to enter the emirate starting, June 22.
The returning expats are only permitted by pre-booking flights on any airline on the condition that they obtain an approval coordinated between the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA Dubai) and the airline.
They should fill out a ‘Health Declaration Form’ before traveling back to the host country to confirm that they do not have Covid-19 symptoms.
If a passenger shows any Covid-19 symptoms, the airline has the right to refuse his or her boarding the aircraft.
Arrival at the Dubai airport
Upon arrival at Dubai airports, all residents are mandated to undergo a PCR test to screen them for the virus. They should register their complete details in the Covid-19 DXB smart app which is available on arrival and before leaving the terminal.
Returning residents are not permitted to go outside of their comfort zones until they receive their Covid-19 test result. If one tests positive for the virus, they will have to home-quarantine for 14 days.
Meanwhile, those residents living in shared rooms or partitions will be isolated at an institutional facility if they test positive for Covid-19.
The one who will arrange for the institutional facility of those who test positive for Covid-19 will be the resident’s employer.
