Dubai immigration launches new online application system for residents who wish to return

-

Dubai’s General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs has recently launched an online application system for returning residents

In a list of guidelines posted by Emirates’ website, the GDRFA online approval can only be accessed outside the UAE.

“You can complete the application independently on the General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs (GDRFA) website directly. This link is only accessible outside the UAE,” the guideline read.

Once the application is approved, the applicant will receive an instant response. Meanwhile, if the application is rejected or cannot be processed, he or she can try again later.

Emirates suggests residents to book flight tickets only when the GDRFA approves the application.

“Only book your ticket back to Dubai after you have received the approval. During the booking process, you will be asked to enter your Resident File Number. Bring a copy of the GDRFA approval email with you when you travel,” it added.
