Going back to UAE? You’ll pay for mandatory quarantine if you test positive for Covid-19

-

- Advertisment -

All incoming residents with valid residence visas are mandated to show proof that they are negative for Covid-19, otherwise they will pay for Covid-19 test at the airport and will shoulder the mandatory quarantine if they test positive for the virus.

The rule also applies to tourists flocking towards the country from July 7.

Meanwhile, all passengers arriving at the emirate’s airport will undergo thermal screenings. If a resident or tourist is suspected to have Covid19 symptoms, airport officials have the right to retest them to make sure they are free of the virus.

Those who test positive are required to register their details on Covid-19 DXB app and isolate themselves at an institutional facility provided by the government for 14 days at their own expense.
