All expatriate residents outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will not be able to return soon until Covid-19 pandemic ends, the General Directorate of Saudi Passports (Jawazat) announced.

“No entry for expat residents until the end of the pandemic,” the passport authority replied to an inquiry.

“Welcome dear, you will not be allowed to return till the end of the coronavirus pandemic crisis, and the decision on return will be announced officially, and under a valid entry visa,” the announcement added.

It also clarified that if a resident is outside the Kingdom, the mechanism for extending the exit and return visa will be announced through official channels after Covid-19 pandemic.

The Kingdom has 164,000 confirmed Covid-19 cases as of this writing with 1,346 deaths and 110,000 recovered patients.
