The Filipino community in Saudi Arabia was told to remain vigilant after the Saudi Air Defense forces intercepted Houthi missiles and drones aimed at Riyadh on June 22 and 23.
“The Philippine Embassy in Riyadh would like to inform the Filipino community in Saudi Arabia that the reported missile and drone attacks aimed at the city of Riyadh have been successfully intercepted by Saudi Air Defense forces,” the circular noted.
Meanwhile, there were no reported casualties nor damage in the area.
“The Filipino community is advised to remain observant of their surroundings, immediately seek cover upon hearing explosions or extremely loud noises, and stay away from any debris or damaged structures,” it added.
The Embassy said that it is closely monitoring the situation and shall provide the Filipino community of any significant developments on the matter.
