163 Filipino workers travel to Germany for work; company organizes flight

Around 163 Filipino workers are all set to leave the Philippine to work in Hamburg, Germany on Sunday, June 28.

The photos were shared by Inquirer.net on their social media platforms. 

The Filipinos who are about to leave the country were seen wearing personal protective equipment (PPEs) at the check-in counter of Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 in Pasay City. 

According to the report, the flight was organized by their employer Peter Dohle group, a seaborne shipping and maritime service provider. 

Currently, Germany has over 195,000 Covid-19 cases. In a June 24 Sky News report, the country has announces second Covid-19 outbreak. Authorities are heavily criticized for their handling of the Covid-19 situation after another outbreak in North Rhine-Westphalia, some 344-km away from Hamburg.
