602 OFWs from Dubai and Barbados arrive in Philippines today

Another batch of returning overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) were welcomed at the Clark International Airport today, June 30, and were swabbed for COVID-19 testing upon arrival.

The 602 seafarers and land-based workers from Barbados and Dubai, were transported to designated hotels in Clark as part of quarantine protocols while waiting for their RT-PCR test results. They will be cleared to go home once they test negative.

The government, through the Test, Trace, and Treat strategy, remains committed to fast-tracking turnaround time for the release of test results within 2-3 days for the convenience of arriving OFWs.

The Clark airport reopened last June 5 to accommodate said arrivals.
