Starting today, anyone can now apply for driving lessons in UAE without obtaining a non-objection certificate from their employers.
The new rule is expected to help those in low-income group to learn to drive and enhance their chances of employment in the host country.
“This is a very positive step because it will make it easier for all those who want to obtain driving licenses to open a file at any driving institute,” Fatima Raes, director of Customer Service and Marketing at Emirates Driving Institute (EDI) in Dubai told Gulf News.
