Pres. Duterte has just signed the anti-terror bill into law

Philippine President Rodrigo Roa Duterte has just signed the anti-terror bill into law.

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque and Interior Secretary Eduardo Ano confirmed this on Friday, July 3.

The law now applies up-to-24 day warrantless detention period for suspected terrorists.

According to former Associate Justice Antonio Carpio, the new law is authorized to order the arrest of any person even if he or she has not committed any crime of terrorism.

He said that the law is worse than Martial Law.
