PH breaks single-day Covid-19 case record with 2,434 new infection

The Department of Health in the Philippines reported the highest single-day increase in Covid-19 cases with 2,434 new infections. 

Of the total number, 1,147 were detected in the last three days, while 1,287 were part of the validation backlog. 

To date, the total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases is now at 44,254.
