Thailand marks 40 consecutive days without Covid-19 local transmission, zero deaths

-

For 40 consecutive days, Thailand has not reported Covid-19 local transmission and zero fatalities.

Since the outbreak in January, the Asian country has only recorded 3,185 cases with 58 fatalities.

However, Thailand has reported on July 4  five new Covid-19 cases, all involving Thai nationals returning from overseas.

The new overseas cases were announced by the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) that involve three male students who returned from Sudan, a male massage therapist who returned from Kuwait, and a female teacher who returned from the United Kingdom.
