Cebu’s health department will no longer post daily Covid-19 cases

- Advertisment -

The Cebu City Health Department announced that it will no longer post the daily cases of Covid-19 as recommended by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF).

“Upon recommendation by the IATF during the meeting earlier, we will no longer be posting daily reports on our page for the Cebu City Covid-19 Monitoring. This was recommended by IATF to avoid confusion with the public as we are still harmonizing data with other health departments,” the circular posted on their Facebook page.

It also clarified that the data that they post each day are actual cases validated by their contact tracing teams.

“[B]ut to avoid causing confusion to the public and to harmonize the data being presented, we urge the public to refer to the DOH-7 Official Facebook Page instead,” the statement added.

As of July 4, Cebu has logged 5,989 Covid-19 cases, with mortalities related to the infection have breached the 200-mark last week.
