Dubai-based teen wins The Voice PH’s The Battles round

-

Dubai-based teen Josh Labing-Isa is on to the next round after he recently won at The Voice Philippine’s The Battles against contender Pia Banga.

The duo, who are under Coach Lea Salonga’s belt, battled it out singing Regine Velasquez and Ogie Alcasid’s iconic song ‘Hanggang Ngayon.’

As part of the show, each judge has to choose one who shines at the battle performance.

“Ang ganda ng pagkakanta ninyo, alam niyo kung kailan magsasabay, bibitaw, at adlibs,” coach Sarah said. She chose Pia over Josh.

Meanwhile, Bamboo compliments Josh for ‘shinning this time around’. He chose Josh.

Coach Apl, on the other hand, chose Pia in The Battles.

Coach Lea said that Josh ‘really’ stepped up his performance especially in the battle round.

“Lumaban ka talaga, eh,” she added and chose Josh over Pia after.
