Dubai Police nabs man who stole a vehicle within 25 minutes of receiving theft report

-

The Dubai Mounted Police Unit has recently arrested an African, who stole a vehicle, within 25 minutes of receiving the theft report.

Expert Major General Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansouri, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Criminal Investigation Affairs at Dubai Police, praised the great efforts made by the two mounted cops: Nawaf Hasan Khalfan, and Muhammad Sheikh Abdullah, and hailed their swift response in searching for the stolen vehicle, canvassing the crime scene, identifying the thief and catching him red-handed.

Al Mansouri further stressed Dubai Police’s keenness to respond rapidly to emergencies and crime reports, capture perpetrators and bring them to justice.

According to Brigadier Expert Mohammad Al Adhb, director of Dubai Mounted Police Station, the Command and Control centre at Dubai Police received a report of a car theft attempt in Al Sabkha area within the jurisdiction area of Naif Police Station.

“The centre broadcasted an arrest notice with the vehicle’s information and the suspect’s description to all on-field patrols that immediately started searching and sweeping the area,” Al Adhb continued.

“Thanks to the swift response of two officers of the Mounted Police unit, they managed to find, and within only 25 minutes of receiving the report, an African man who fits the profile and behaved suspiciously,” the director of Mounted Police Station added.

“The two officers pulled over the suspect and verified his ID and the car’s documents. The thief was apprehended red-handed, and the stolen car was retrieved,” Al Adhb added.
