A new airline was unveiled in the UAE.

Air Arabia Abu Dhabi is the first low-cost carrier in the capital and is all set to start operating on July 14.

Initially, it has flights from the capital to Alexandria and Sohag in Egypt, with plans to expand to other cities in the coming months.

“In these extraordinary times, it gives us great pride to lunch Air Arabia Abu Dhabi, the capital’s first low-cost carrier. The joint venture between Etihad and Air Arabia will offer greater convenience and direct access to the UAE’s thriving capital for new markets, beginning with two key Egyptian routes, and expanding in time,” Tony Douglas, Group CEO at Etihad Aviation Group said in a statement.
