58 OFWs housed at Philippine Consulate in Jeddah test positive for Covid-19

-

Some 58 overseas Filipino workers currently housed at the Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, have tested positive for Covid-19.

In a GMA report, Consul General Edgar Badajos said that one of the OFWs has already died due to Covid-19 complications.

The fatality was identified as a male OFW who have succumbed to the disease last Wednesday.

The OFWs who have tested for Covid-19 have been immediately put on self-quarantine at the consulate’s Building 1.

“Ang sabi ng hospital na nagsasagawa ng swab test, according sa ospital, ang mahalaga lang naman ay ma-isolate ang lahat ng nag-positive in one place. Lahat naman sila ay asymptomatic, walang mga symptoms, so they advised to be placed in a quarantine for the next 14 days,” Badajos said.
