About 100 Filipinos bound for Dubai barred from flight at NAIA

Some 100 Filipinos bound for Dubai have been barred from traveling via the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) after failing to secure Covid-19 negative PCR test certificates.

According to a GMA report, the Philippine Airlines (PAL) has tried to negotiate with the concerned authorities in UAE, but insisted that the document is mandatory when arriving at the emirate.

The passengers are advised to rebook or refund their flights.

All passengers coming from the Philippines are required to secure a negative Covid-19 test from a licensed local testing laboratory.

The certificate must be issued not more than 96 hours before departure.
